I am 82 years old.  I started seeing Dr. Tran in 2006 when I fell in my back yard.  The injury left me in a lot of pain.  I spent most of my time laying in bed.  I couldn't move around too much, even walking for 10 feet was painful and getting in and out of the bath tub was so difficult.  My recovery was slow and painful.  I was scared.  I didn't want to be stuck in bed for the rest of my life.  I wanted to be able to move.  I wanted to tend to my garden and my dogs.  I wanted my independence and freedom back.  My daughter started taking me to see Dr. Tran.  Not only did she help to resolve my pain and restore my function and mobility, but my body felt and could move around better than it did before the injury.  I felt like I was 50 again!  So now, I see Dr. Tran on a regular basis to help control the pain, stiffness and muscle spasm from my Osteoarthritis and Parkinson's.  I have so much to do and so much to live for!

I was involved in a car accident.  The impact felt hard, but I was belted in and I didn't feel any pain immediately after the impact.  After a couple of days I started noticing some discomfort in my left collar bone, neck and shoulder.  I thought, "The discomfort was slight and the bumper wasn't severely damaged.  I'll just tough out, probably a minor sprain and will go away on it's own in a couple of days.  Over the next couple of weeks my discomfort became progressively painful.  So I finally decided to get care for my injuries.  Dr. Tran treated me for whiplash injury to my neck and left shoulder sprain.  I was better in no time! I wish I saw Dr. Tran right away instead of suffering through those first couple of weeks.

I am on my feet all day whether at work or at home.  There is so much to do! And by the end of the day, my feet, my knees, my legs and my back hurt so much.  I thought if I got some extra cushiony insoles that would solve the problem.  But it only helped minimally.  It got to the point where I didn't exercise or enjoy any recreational activities because I dreaded being on my feet.  Even pedaling a bike put extra stress and pain on my feet.  My friend said that Dr. Tran was a specialist at treating extremities, especially the feet.  I was tired of being unhealthy, I wanted to work out again so I thought I'd give her a try.  She did a specialized high tech scan of my feet which revealed that my feet were out of balance.  One of my foot was rolled too far out and the middle arch of the other foot was collapsing.  So because my foundation was not level, it caused a ripple effect from my feet, into my knees, legs and back.  After wearing the custom foot orthotics that Dr. Tran casted for me, it immediately reduced 75% of the pressure from my feet.  Now I can't wear any shoes with my custom foot orthothics.

I have had lots of general aches and pains in my back, arms and legs.  I thought it was normal for my busy lifestyle.  So I never really paid much attention to it.  I have a very high tolerance for pain.  I can experience a great deal of pain and still do most of my normal activities.  But when I started to experience more than pain, that was when I began to worry and seek the care of my medical doctor.  Along with the pain, I started to experience progressively worsening stiffness of my muscles and tendons.  I even felt like the muslces and tendon were shortening.  And when the tendon would roll over a bone or joint, I would feel a very painful pop with a tingling sensation at that specific area.  My medical doctor diagnosed me with Fibormyalgia and sent me home with a prescription.  The medication was helping with the general pain and stiffness, but I wanted to get additional physical treatment for the shortening and tingling sensation.  After a couple weeks of treatment with Dr. Tran, I was able to stop the medication with my medical doctor.  I use to think that pain was a normal part of my lifestyle, but now I know it's not.  I see Dr. Tran now whenever my busy lifestlye starts to take a toll on my body.  It feels great to be pain free!!

It just so happened that I was seeing Dr. Tran for a sprained ankle.  While I was under her care, I bit down wrong on a hard piece of food.  After that I could barely open my mouth wide enough to fit a spoon in because of pain and the left side of my jaw felt stuck.  Through conversation Dr. Tran noticed I had limited movement of my jaw and asked me what happened.  I told her the situation and she asked if she could examine it to see if there was anything she could do to help.  The X-Ray revealed that my left jaw joint was mis-aligned in it's socket.  When I tried to open my mouth, the ball of the bottom jaw bone would get caught in the socket of the upper jaw joint.  After 4 treatments, my jaw was back to normal and I was ready to do some damage at the buffets.
